Kirsten Schmitz

Kirsten brings over a decade of experience in policy, non-profits and grantmaking to her role as Grants Manager. With a career spanning both the public and private sectors, Kirsten’s prior positions at the Department of Health and Human Services, Helios Education Foundation, and Bellwether have afforded her a deep understanding of the key elements of effective philanthropy. At RLD Foundation, Kirsten provides leadership and oversight for all administrative aspects of the grantmaking process. Dedicated to efficient and accessible process-building, Kirsten works collaboratively with applicants, grantees, Foundation leadership and other stakeholders to ensure RLD Foundation’s grantmaking is strategically positioned to have the greatest impact for veterans, families, and entrepreneurs.
